Before candidates advance to a different position, it is important that they explore the job to ensure that the new responsibilities are compatible with their interests, skills and career goals.

intraspec®, a realistic job preview, is a powerful, interactive workshop that allows candidates to try on the new role in a safe and supportive environment. Utilizing simulations, participants deal with a series of situations in both written (online inbox) and live interactions. They receive instant feedback from coaches, peers, and observations of themselves on video tape. It is action learning at its best!

Based on this input, candidates actively review their interest in the tasks and responsibilities of the new role. They use a structured online evaluation guide to assess their own performance and, with the help of a coach, create a plan to address their recognized developmental needs.

After they leave the workshop, candidates then implement their individual plan with the guidance of their current manager and/or mentor.

intraspec® is a powerful tool, not only for those who continue the development process, but also for those who, after getting a real taste of the new job, decide that it's not quite right for them. As a result, candidates can opt out of the development process at this point before spending any more of their time and your company's valuable resources. They are then free to pursue an alternative track that is more in line with their interests or even remain in their current position, in which they are already successful.
